Protect the vehicle and people nearby
Safety comes before loading.
Do not keep driving a vehicle with serious steering, wheel, suspension or underside damage.
Move away from traffic only when safe and avoid standing beside the vehicle during loading or unloading.
Tell dispatch about smoke, leaking fluids, collision damage, a blocked lane or any unstable vehicle position.
If anyone is injured or there is immediate danger after a collision, contact emergency services first.
Once you are in a safe position, keep the phone available and avoid standing in the loading path. If the vehicle is in a restricted area, explain the entrance, level, gate or security process so access can be considered before arrival.
